JAMES MILLS

James Mills is an associate at Reza Athari & Associates. Mr. Mills graduated with a J.D. from Rutgers School of Law in Camden, New Jersey in May 1997. After law school, Mr. Mills headed the immigration department of several large, multinational corporations. Mr. Mills headed the Employability Status Assistance Program with Catholic Charities in Florida before relocating to Las Vegas, NV and working at Reza Athari & Associates. 

Mr. Mills has focused on the field of immigration law for the majority of his career and has very broad experience in the field. Mr. Mills has experience in Business and Family Immigration, Naturalization, Immigration Consequences of Crimes, Humanitarian and other Visas, Consular Processing, in court Deportation and Removal Defense, Labor Certifications, Asylum, Religious Visas, Cuban Adjustment, and Waivers. 

Prior to attending law school, Mr. Mills was a computer hardware engineer for 12 years, working extensively with U.S. Government Agencies. He resided in Rota, Spain for more than six years while working under contract for the United States Navy. Consequently, he traveled extensively throughout Europe and North Africa and gained a solid understanding and awareness of other cultures. 

Mr. Mills is the author of several articles including Attacking the Notice to Appear: Strategies for Apparently Hopeless Cases, American Bar Association's Immigration and Naturalization Committee Newsletter (Fall 2006); Alternative Visas, 188 New Jersey Law Journal 109 (2007) and Immigration and Customs Enforcement; an Overview, A.B.A. Solo Newsletter, Vol. 15, No. 3 (Winter 2009).
